| Illusive
Part 1 - by Koops Around December 17 2000 a reckless driver hit me from behind. I was parked in a parking spot but he still managed to hit me driving backwards. My bumper and left rear driving light was damaged. Therefore, when I came back from my Christmas holiday in The Netherlands, I went looking for another body kit. Pretty soon I saw the Illusion Body kit, and tried to find someone who sold it.

Strut Tower Brace Install - by
Whelp This was a fairly easy install with little
trouble. I did not keep track of time, but I would say I started around 10:00am,
and was washed up and ready to go by 12:30pm. Most of my time was spent on
cutting and modifying the front cover. For
anyone not wanting to go the route of keeping the front cover, it should not
take more than ½ hour at the most.

Moon Exhaust - by YellowMR2 With the old exhaust out, you can see just how much room that huge muffler took up. The install was pretty easy. Ken did have to bend the hanger rods a bit to get the muffler to sit properly. They were poking out of the box when it arrived from UPS so this wasn’t surprising. He obviously had to cut the plastic shield. It now looks symmetrical with the two pipes sticking out evenly and the plastic shield besides them. The install cost me $100. I probably could have got a better deal at Midas but I’d rather pay a bit more and know I’m getting someone I can trust. Find the rest of the store by clicking HERE... |
Postert Child! -
by Mercury First job was to remove the black plastic engine guards. The Cat has also got to be removed to allow enough room to remove the silencer. This is quite easy although you will need a long reach extension on your wrench to get to the bolts. I removed the Cat without jacking up the car as the trolley jack gets in the way. Then I jacked the car up and removed the 4 bolts holding the multi link roll bar (2 each side).

| Strapped In! One question that keeps coming up over and over again is how do the straps on the top attach. Below are the pictures sent showing the straps disconnected and one connected, as well as the Lanyard lines inside the top.

Street Slider! DAMD first featured their new body kit at the Tokyo Auto Salon a few months ago. Pictures from that event can be found at this link : Street Slider. Thanks to MG Racing, the body kit is now available for purchase in the Spyder Store. We hope to offer a follow-up article involving the installation of this body kit.
