Car Cover

Today I received my custom car cover from California Car Cover www.calcarcover.com 1-800-423-5525.  They make custom fits car covers, actually the plant is in Oklahoma, and offer them in a variety of materials.  Given that I wanted a car cover for when my car is outside at work or under the carport at home, I went with the "Noah" fabric that is made by Kimberly-Clark.  I also had them throw in a storage bag and a lock, they usually charge $20 extra for this but given that the cover is already $150, they through it in on such a small car.  Below are the pictures of the installation.

No that isn't a car cover, that's Bryan, a.k.a. RedMR2Guy from Spyderchat.com.  He's holding my model aluminum arm.

Here is the box it came in with the details about each type of material they have as well as their address.

Unpacking revealed the car cover, storage back, grommets and the cable and lock.

I wanted to check first to see if the cover will fit in the front with the spare.  It will!

Their name is imprinted on the front, along with that you can see the tag with the style # which says C16184NH

First stretch the cover out on the car from front to back. (According to the included instructions)

I had to remove the antenna and install a grommet in the cover for the antenna opening.

Here is the cover stretched over the car, the side mirrors in their pockets.

You must line up the cover all around before installing the antenna grommet.

A view from the back.  Note the elastic along the bottom keeps the cover away from the hot exhaust pipe.

I reinstalled the antenna and slid it through the grommet. The grommet protects the cover from tearing.

Cover fit with antenna.  Sure makes the antenna stand out doesn't it?

The front, in case you are confused they stamp FRONT on it. :)

Threading the security cable through the side grommets.  The side grommets were already installed on the cover.

The other end has the lock. The lock package includes instructions on the back on how to thread the cable and lock.

This should make it even tougher to remove my TRD emblem now don't you think?
